Just because I haven't traveled the world, doesn't mean I do not see recordings of other's countries TV, their writing or other types of media coverage. It can be VERY negative and misleading about what America really is.
Maybe you are not jealous of the US... but you are Australian, you do not live in an impoverished country that suppresses it's people. Those suppressed people are jealous of our freedom and their governments are jealous of our wealth, technology, allies (cough
) etc etc ... the US is purposely talked badly about, so that the citizens of other countries do not get any "ideas" about civilization or expectations about what their crappy governments should be doing for them.
