If you for some reason tried to use it like a monitor all the time and had your contrast and brightness up high, you "could" get still images burned-in, like the taskbar or start button or whatever.
But I play video games and display my desktop on my RPTV all the time and have no problems. The only RPTV's I've ever seen with images burned-in are the Sega units at arcades that play the same game for 18 hours straight, 5 or 6 days a week, all year long.
Not really any more dangerous than watching widescreen DVDs all the time on a 4:3 set.
