Ananova:
Dog starts grass fire
A dog started a grass fire in Idaho after its fur was set alight when its owner's car backfired.
A passenger let the dog out and it rolled in dry grass to put out the flames, but then set the grass on fire.
Firefighters in Culdesac had to put out the blaze. Fire Chief Gary Gilliam said: "I have been in firefighting for many years, but I have never seen anything like this happen."
The motorist had just put petrol in his van after it ran out of fuel. As he restarted the van it backfired and sparks ignited the dog's fur.
The dog is reported to have been unharmed in the incident.
