German cop beaten up by dwarf kangaroo

A German policeman has been injured after he was kicked and punched by a dwarf kangaroo.

The marsupial, which had escaped from a zoo in Verl, North Rhine-Westphalia, was spotted hopping on a nearby autobahn by motorists.

It took several police officers to capture it and one officer received cuts and bruises.
