lots of people i talk to are all excited like a good friend of theirs was elected. i think they expect his fame to rub off on them or something.
on the other hand, some people feel like i do - that being a celeb/actor doesn't give you the job experience to be a gov, and that having a republican in calif will shift the balance of power further toward republican - things work better with more balance.
