I am talking about stuff like copperfield's road-show though. Where you actually sit 5 meters from the friggin thing and 10 people disappear <G> (And its a round stage). Of course its a TRICK but its not easy. Amazing thing also is that copperfield claims he has 3 or more ways to do each trick, so when one way gets uncovered they can switch to another one.

I saw Copperfield botch a trick in Daytona Beach in 1994.
Water came out of this "box" he was stabbing with swords, there was this horrific scream and then the curtains closed.
We sat there for 25 minutes before he came out and did an odd "childhood" fly trick then left the stage.
I'll never forget it.
