Get there during the shift change when one group is coming out and one is coming in, and you can sell the hell out of anything edible. Candy bars and boxes of donuts by the dozen, do the best. But they'll pretty much buy anything they can eat. Stand near the entrance or wherever they all have to pass. We wear uniforms so they recognize it's some kind of fundraiser, but you could make a little sign telling what the charity is and let it hang off the front of his box. You or whoever takes him can sort of sit (if it's you, bring a chair since you can't be on your feet) or stand nearby to help with any money/change deals, but let him stand there with his little box as they pass. Even if they don't want the candy, they'll usually give some money.
Sometimes people will even go ahead and buy the whole box from us and then take it inside and sell it for us to get their money back. We can usually sell-out in half an hour, no matter how many boxes we bring. And sometimes it's hundreds.

Well we're in a small town and there really isn't anyplace like that here, but I think he should do ok out on the street too.. we get a lot of foottraffic going by, the high school is a block away so hopefully the little wretches will contribute to something good instead of just littering up my back woods :P
