Because since the dawn of the internet, people can hide behind their computer screens. Gives people confidence they don't have in an offline situation. They think they are invincible online, but 99% of the attacks online wouldn't happen offline. In real life situations, all the haters online would be kissing their "enemies" ass and vice versa.
