We spent several hours on the phone yesterday with ccbill staff including the head of tech support. As many program owners we were wantng information on what was going on and when this issue would be fixed.

It appears that everything is running well now and the form issue was only a couple hour event yesterday and all is working fine. Its my understanding that they had a database issue... basically it got way to big and needed to be moved to other servers in order to make the new upgrades and system (stats) work. It is my understanding that the change over is now complete and its working well. It was also made clear that any sale that did not show up on the stats would show up as soon as the situation was brought under control. That has happened also. All affiliate sales have now shown up and the sales that were missing from our admin have also shown up. Looks as if everything is back on track and our "adds" in our log files match our sales. It also looks as if any affiliate issues have been resolved and everyone received full credit for sales that did not show during there down time, with the exception of the time that the forms were down.

However, one area I feel ccbill really dropped the ball was in there communication with there webmasters. When people are left to speculate on what is happening... many different opinions of whats going on can develop. After spending a ton of time yesterday on the phone with them I am totally comfortable and understand the situation they ran into. But, it took a very pointed pone ocnversation to get the information I needed to help me understand. That should have never happened.

CCbill is a great company and one that will be around for years. It just appears that they had a huge growth spurt over the past few months and there system was not totally prepared to handle it. Remember, when Globill went down over night nad ccbill ended up gettting a very large percentage of Globill accounts? It seems it was an unxpected spurt of growth, they, or there systems were not prepared to at that time. However, it appears they have gotten there system all upgraded and its working great.
