So Columbus landed here, and in the end the native American's had their land taken away and they were killed when fighting for it. People tend to stop thinking about it at that point, and feel sorry for them.
Guess what?
Had we not taken this land from them, there wouldn't be any United States of America at all.
In the end it goes back to humans east of the Atlantic advancing faster than native Americans. One side had guns, the other a bow and arrow. One had real clothing, the other had animal skins hanging off them. One side practiced real medicine, and the other danced around a fire.
The society Columbus ran into wasn't worth much of anything, and everyone needs to accept that. Their lack of advancements must have been quite a disgrace to humankind even back then.
They were basically still living in the stone age.
