While I could just as easily hand it to corvett because he appears to have a brain and basic cognitive ability, I think I'd like to see this situation through and see what exactly is going on.
I signed up to a site for a 90 day recurring billing membership.
I went to cancel the membership before the rebill date and the CCBill administrative system would not display the correct subscription number when I entered my VISA number.
So, I open a trouble ticket, hoping to get my subscription number so I could cancel the membership myself in time (3 days before rebill date, and this is confirmed by the webmaster)
In email #1 CCBill support told me my credit card and membership had been removed from active billing, and will not be billed again.
So naturally I get rebilled 5 days later.
So I email and say what the hell is going on, you just said the charge wont occur again.
Email #2, response says call CCBill support at 1-800 yaddah yaddah
I call 1-800-ccbill-yaddahyaddah. Support rep finds my membership and I tell her what happened. She finds the subscription and verifies my card was rebilled. She says email me the correspondance as an attachement and she will "look after it".
I email the messages to
[email protected] as an attachement;
Email #3 in response to this says Call 1-800 yaddah yaddah
I email it again
Email #4 says Call 1-800 yaddah yaddah
In email #5 I break down and say just send this to the moron I spoke with on the phone.
Email #6 from moron says your card hasn't been charged since March 31st, 2003.
And it still isn't resolved.
I'd do a chargeback without hesitation if this wasn't so damn entertaining.
