I am currently using MailWasher Pro but this program defeats the purpose in a way, you check with it and block and bounce, then you gotta open your damn email program and downlaod email and in the mean time 20 more spams jsut came in so they don't fo to your mailwasher they go into your email program, what the hell purpose does this help?

Anyone had any real good luck with anything? I tried the outlook plugins but when you gotta still go through your Spam folder to make sure it didn't consider any friends or important emails as spam then why it have to start with?

I have tried using spamcop's plugin on my linux server and that doesn't help worth a shit either, hell sometimes it even blocks my own emails from sending out.

Help if you have found a good solution for fighting or blocking spam!!!

Check out spampal. As long as you are using the POP3 interface for Outlook, it will work fine. It is the BEST I have found and I've tried nearly all of em.... Its free and written by James Farmer, a well respected anti-spammer.

Block em http://spampal.org/

Track em http://samspade.org/

SPEWS was reported as dead by several Spammers on this board.... Here is the real story

"[Sep/03] Massive DDoS attacks on SPEWS.ORG
As if to prove to the world how effective SPEWS can be in stopping their spam, several groups of spammers initiated several massive Distributed Denial of Service (DDoS) attacks on SPEWS.ORG. Actions of this sort are obviously criminal, but one must remember that most of the things spammers do are criminal already.

On occasion, this rendered the website unreachable, but the website is really only a tool used by people and ISPs whose email is rejected and who wish to find out the reason why. The actual SPEWS data files are downloaded from a variety of places to be used in public & private DNSBL systems and turned into email server deny lists.

The spammers gained little from their actions other than the possibility a date in court when names are attached to the actions. As with everything on the Internet, SPEWS.ORG's website runs on, and is connected to, systems owned by real companies. By attacking the SPEWS website what's really being attacked are these companies - several are not happy and it seems have stated they won't rest until they ARE happy. "
