I have a comment on #2.
Not only do scam patent poachers not have to worry about the community looking out for itself, they can count on members of the community actively stabbing each other in the back. Witness all those, "I got my Acacia packet addressed to a name I only use with sponsors," or, "only use with one place" threads.
Fuckers. Die, die, die, rot.
People who have seen my posts know I am reasonable and not overly emotional but this situation disgusts me so thoroughly I can barely express it.
