It took me 10 minutes to convince him to get me working DNS numbers so I could enter them into my router and not have this problem anymore.
He told me that because they assign them dynamically that I shouldn't enter any information there. I informed him that several of the servers that they were dynamically assigning were down, he said it made no difference to me, don't enter any information.
I informed him that he needs to try to get it through his thick skull that he needs to give these numbers to his supervisor and tell them that they're down as they're affecting customers (I gave him a list of down DNS servers that they dynamically assign).
I then proceeded to inform him that he's in customer service, and I'm a customer and this was effecting me, so he damn well better service me (I got loud by this point) and then slammed the phone down.
Do they not teach these kids at least a rudimentry understanding of the internet? "Is your mail slow?" Fuck off, I explained my problem.
