They had an article on AOL about this a little while ago. It's called Britney Spears syndrome. Nuf said... look at what young girls need to feel they have to keep up with. And parents are so busy working or getting divorced, they don't give kids the attention they need or they have become so liberal, they think its ok. Parents are the ones buying the kids these clothes. Ever watch Jenny Jones? When they ask, well mom who pays for these clothes? Well duh, the 13 year old isn't... always the parents.
I guess I am a prude because when I have kids, daughters especially... they sure as hell won't be walking around at the age of 13-14 wearing thongs, belly shirts, jeans tighter than a needle eye and skirts short enough to show their thong if they sneeze. There's a difference between looking trendy and looking plain trashy and the latter isn't an option for a young teenage girl. They can look cute without exposing themselves beyond their years. You go to the mall and all you see if a bunch of 13, 14, 15 year olds in half tops wearing 3 lbs of make up, chasing 16 year old boys around. It makes me sick

But I blame the parents!
