we didn't do it for sexual attention - most of us back then would have been scared and offended. just like now, we did it because it was extremely fashionable which made us feel more grown up, and that's important to you when you want to feel you're an emerging adult at 13 -18.

your actually very right about that, I remember my family saying the same stuff when I was a kid, but back then baggy clothes were in, so it was more like, why the hell are you wearing all those clothes? hehe
