Those countries have much smaller populations. Take Ukraine for example. Even if after an extended period of time they manage a GDP/person equivalent to the US their economy will still be 6x smaller than the US economy.
For China to equal the US they only need to reach a per capita GDP of 4.5 x SMALLER than the US. Currently it is much less that that.
What are the most populous countries in the world? China, India, US, Indonesia, Brazil, and Pakistan. Four of those are in the same general region of the world.
