my fiance is a programmer in the manufacturing industry. large parts of that industry are now outsourcing, mostly to china, not only because of price but the work from china is better made than u.s. and also ready faster.
i see the point of the various companies sending work out - some of the manufacturers they were getting parts from were coming in 3x over the time things are supposed to be ready, and very badly made.
unfortunately this leads to more unemployment here :-(
