Presumably because the majority of sites have www. you will rank better for the keywords in your domain if you *dont* have www. in the url because your keywords come first. Does this make sense and am I wrong?

Adjektiv: www since most of the people will link to you as
www.domain.com. If you use Google toolbar you will see that domain.com usually has lower PR than
www.domain.com.

Ive notice that maybe 80 - 90% of those listed at the start of a popular listing seem to have been listed in DMOZ and therefore listed in the Google directory.

Adjektiv: If you are listed in Dmoz then your site probably does not suck too bad, so Google will be more likely to give it more importance.
