Go down to the station and have a meeting with the Chief of or Captain of, whatever it is there, Detectives and see what he has to say. These guys have about 12 cases a piece to deal qith and something has to give. Going to the top detective might get you something.
If you don't get any help, then report them to the DOJ and FBI. Someone there will call and the LAST thing a local dept is the Feds coming around sniffing. lol Our local police were invaded and the dept taken over a few years ago. Amazing how quickly they start solving cases and behaving.
