I own Webmasterlabor.com, we provide manual data outsourcing for webmasters. Webmasterlabor.com is part of an umbrella company that, with other American partners, focus on the college educated high quality labor of the Philippines. We have differing ventures that touch on call centers, data transcriptions for health care companies in the US, and scanned data services.
My portion is Webmasterlabor.com. We do not provide design work except maybe for AVS. I leave that up to AOS and prostock's company. Our model is very different from theirs, as well since we focus on cheap labor geared to specific tasks as opposed to retaining a webmaster on a month to month basis. I respect their model, I appreciate its benefits but I offer a totally different service.
My name is Gene. I am an American citizen but I am Filipino. I was born in the Philippines but grew up and was educated in the US. I am based in the Philippines. I have never worked for AOS. I have been a webmaster for four years.
My mission is simple: provide cheap task-specific labor (submissions, text work, written content, etc. EXCEPT design) for US / EU webmasters so they are freed from repetitive manual labor. The adult webmasters on GFY are businesspeople. However, with all the manual labor webmasters must do, they often do not have the time to invest in business planning and innovating. Since I charge a low rate, I take manual labor out of the adult webmaster's routine so they can focus on a task that yields a higher return on investment--business planning and innovative strategy. Used correctly, outsourcing may yet prove to be the launch pad that webmasters can use to reach the next milestone in their goals.
