She should know the difference between the two - if not, it is impolite to tell the price of any present.
Theres an ol' saying, "its the thought that counts". any present from you should be treated as though you spend $1600. Love and respect shouldnt be measure by the money spent.
I hope you spent the money not because it has a bigger price tag (*buying a name) - hopefully you got it because it had better quality to it.
