Jimbo, I have an american account at TD Waterhouse (I work for TD Visa). It's a great account.

It's an American account in American dollars for Canadian residents, as opposed to a Canadian account in American dollars, like you have now. There are several benefits to that (checks clear faster, wires are cheaper, etc).

They don't have a physical location, so all checks must be mailed to them. Usually takes about 3-4 business days. They give you a Visa check card, so you can withdraw your funds at most ATMs worldwide or you can use it wherever Visa is accepted.
ok nice, I'm with National Bank of Canada, cashing my checks in my USD account is free. I'm gonna call my bank tomorrow and see if I can mail my checks, that would really be awesome

Thanks pal
