Fair enough. You need to realize though.... on that thread on 12click's board, some allegations have been made, most of which are a bit shall we say 'out of line'? 12clicks voiced his opinion that Brandon's fund isn't the way to go for those wanting to "fight the patent" right now. He doesn't believe that Brandon's intentions are 100% professional and above board, and since it is his own board I suppose he has a right to voice his opinions good or bad.
Paul Markham on the other hand, has reacted by basically accusing 12clicks of signing with Acacia.... something of which there is no basis in fact whatsoever I might add. It is certainly the right of anyone to ASK if a sponsor has signed with Acacia. However, no sponsor is compelled to answer that question, to you or anyone. If you don't get an answer, do you go off and assume the worst? Sorry, some people in ANY industry will tell you that what their company chooses to do or not do is, to put it bluntly.... none of your fucking business. Period.
Having said all that, I will point out right here and now that for myself, I must admit that my level of respect will be greatly reduced towards those sponsors and companies that do cave in and sign. I don't like it, but if we're being honest here..... I haveto say that that is true in my case, especially those sponsors and companies that have disclosed private information regarding their affiliates. When it all comes out, and in the end it will.... there will be some companies no doubt that find their loyal webmasters leaving their sorry excuse for a company in droves.
