A convention is a place to conduct business, and a party is a place to network and unwind. As long as a person's behavior is under control when they drink, it's not a bad thing. I for one, was able to conduct business with a few people while enjoying the open bars. I'll admit that I did overdrink on the first night, but as soon as I was starting to feel the effects kicking in, I quickly headed out of Zanzibar and went back to the hotel (and up to my room). I didn't make a fool out of myself, nor did I impose on anybody else.

There needs to be some restrictions when letting people in, or a definite blacklist for individuals who get out of line. I saw quite a few out of line, and I feel that anybody causing destruction or public humiliation for the business as a whole, has no right to attend any webmaster functions. I think we are all on the same page here.

In what ways can this possibly be solved though, as long as convention badges can be purchased by anybody who comes across the signup page?
