Ive been in the street racing scene since well before it was the cool thing to do. All I have to say is one thing... driving in a straight line over a 1/4mile pushing the gas to the floor is something that 90% of the participants would do just driving around and is harmless. Sure, there are some risks the drivers are taking but they know what they are getting into when they go to race. Accidents happen a when people crowd the streets down the strip to watch, and be when people get spooked and do dumb shit. I should rip my videos. Cops coming, people pulling in front of racers to get away and getting tboned at 100, cars going through guardrails and flying into ravines and muscle cars hitting flipped lexuses. The one thing Ive always noticed though is those who keep their eyes open and dont fuck around do just fine.
