Simply very, very wrong. In the UK especially it can be almost impossible with many credit card companies to chargeback. Although it can be done it requires a LOT of hassle and a lot of paperwork with most of them. The ease at which it can be done with many US companies means UK traffic really isn't a big problem with chargebacks in comparrison.

The biggest point though is broadband is starting to become BIG in the UK. We have some of the cheapest broadband around now and with stuff like the xbox pushing it hard, as well as the ISP's, it's slowly becomming almost the standard. Diallers don't work with broadband despite companies poor attempts to get around that. So...not only do you lose sales from traffic with heavy credit card ownership, it now also gets sent to a system which a huge % of users are totally incompatible with. Brilliant marketing all round
