My husband and I have each other and that's pretty much it except for the cats and the dogs. I have no more blood relatives and his are on the other side of the country.

But I'm still happy. This year started out in quiet desperation and is ending in jubilant overtones of success!

All my best to those who are spending the holiday alone. If you were anywhere near me, I'd invite you over to my itty bitty little messy as fuck house for some eggnog before heading over to the Chinese place for dinner. (Strange tradition, I know, but we like it. No other place is open and since we're all alone, we don't wanna cook a big dinner. Besides, his family has the strange and fun fixation with "A Christmas Story", and that's where that family ended up for Christmas dinner.)

Have a joyous holiday, all! I'm gonna do some work before I go back to bed!
