its good for a couple of reasons
1) you can pretty much tell whos really in the industry vs. whos underage or non industry people
2) always good to view something without having the hassle of sales person pushing
3) good to see what friends are doing in the industry
4) may spark a new idea by seeing what someone else is doing
5) you know who to avoid at conventions
