Had the exact same thing happen recently.
For years i have had problems with my back right wisdom tooth about every 6 months it would act up. But they told me that to get it out would mean major surgery ( maxaofillian facial surgery )and i was in south america at the time and 1/10 people die during the operation there so i waited it out and waited, and sure enough the infection from the wisdom tooth infected the one next to it. So last month i had both wisdom teeth removed on both sides plus the fucked up one. No more pain at all, plus i already had more teeth in my mouth than i was supposed to so i actually have a better bite now
My front teeth are another story
i got hit in the face with a baseballl bat when i was 21 and had all 4 of my front teeth snapped off at the ends, they dont hurt at all , but every 2 years they cost me a few grand to fix .

BTW when i had mine removed they didnt bleed much at all , bled for about 8 hours then it was fine.
