Do you think it helps the law to impose one judgement and then turn around and say WHoops we were wrong and now we changed our minds. We know your sentence was 2 years in prison , but now we decided to murder you instead. No trial or judge ordered this , we just took a poll among the boys in the office.
This is the whole reason why we have COURTS.
Why even have courts if you are just going to make up arbitrary laws and judgements according to public opinion.
