Actually, you're wrong. I own an F1 360 and an SMG M3 (both have paddle shifters). The M3's paddles move with the steering wheel and the 360's do not. When in the middle of a turn and your steering wheel is turned 180 degrees, it's a pain in the ass to shift the M3. In fact, I'll just ignore the paddle and shift with the center console stick (located where stick shifts are), which you can do with the M3 and cannot do with the 360. When in the middle of a turn with a 360 though, you just complete the turn with your left hand and shift the stationary paddle with your right.
