I've got to say....it's obvious that none of you tough guys practise shooting at anything over 10 yards, or have fired a shot in a stressful, combat-type situation. Real life is not like the movies. A handgun is not very accurate when fired quickly ("snap" shots), and that goes even more for a small revolver. Even if a person goes to the range twice a month and shoots well, your ability to shoot in a stress situation drops an average of 20%. There are many cases of even police officers firing quite a few shots without a hit....and in combat with trained solders, the average is one hit per HUNDREDS of rounds fired.
I've been in the situation where there were rounds going past me, and I can tell you, your "aim" can go to shit real fast.
