Jupiter doesn't use Williams, but because it's the Internet, everything has to route through somewhere.
Just like if your host uses Level3, and they hand off the traffic at some point to Sprint, and then Sprint has bad routing and you're down. That's not your host that's fucking up. Either Level3 would have to change their routes to avoid Sprint, or the Hosting company would have to shut off their Level3 connection.
Jupiter has more than one upstream provider, and was able to route around Williams once it knew what the problem was.
Hat's off to Jupiter Hosting for getting things back to normal as quickly as they did!

Jupiter doesnt goof around when they know there is a problem. My concern is that when I called them they had no idea anything was wrong, that was about 10 minutes after I noticed a problem.
All is well now though.
