ok, i lost the lighter - no biggie.
here's where it gets interesting. The NEXT day I get this email.
Hello!
You are the second bidder in my auction #3267232074
Unfortunately the highest bidder has some problems with the payment. Let me know if you're still interested in this item. I look forward to hearing from you soon
Thanks
ok, me thinks something is up but I respond telling her I'm more than happy to pay $1150, my last real bid before the FAKE bidder.
She responds with
Hello Scott!
I like to sell this item for your last bid price #2,500.00 including
shipping cost&insurance.Item will be sent on 1-2 day
after payment confirmation.If you
feel confident about my
proposal I'll
send you all needed details to make a transaction.Awaiting your reply.
Thanks
my last bid was $1150, and she should have NEVER known what my max bid on this item was. I left thinking that she used a friend to find out how much my max bid was to milk me out of as much money as possible - which is a scam an illegial according to ebay's rules.
i send her a reply telling her I'll only pay $1150, and if she refuses I'll report her to ebay and the police for running a scam.
fuck do scammers ever piss me off.

Thats why you should always use a proxy bidding website . They don't charge much but your bid is only placed 6 seconds before the end of the auction .
