It's contagious, I see it in myself. I'm a happy person but if some pissed off jackass happens to stumble into my life it makes me pissed off too.

Video games aren't the issue. Video games are a scapegoat. You live in the most violent culture on Earth and violent video games are a reflection of that, not a cause.
