free range lol..I used to work at a commercial poultry farm in highschool. Free range is 20,000 chickens in a room about 30'x30'. "Range" makes people think of vast open spaces, no. Chickens never see daylight except through windows.
They're packed in so tight that if you lose power, even in winter the fans shut off, within 8 hours or so, the chickens will actually start to cook, that's how hot it gets.
Beats the shit out of the little cages huh?
