Since you asked:
a) because not every division is money losing?
b) because a new owner can turn a company around?
Not talking about FCI necessarily, just in general some reasons why. Wish I could remember the guy's name, but there's some famous entrepeneur who has gone into five almost bankrupt companies in a row over the past twelve years and in each case made them from dead last in their industry to number one. Amazing fellow. Just my bad memory can't remember the name.
