I'm curious. How many millions of Jews do Christians (or the children of Christians such as Nazis) have to murder before Jews are allowed to publicly express concerns about a movie that revives the old charge of deicide -- that Jews killed god. This charge has been responsible for the Christian murder of tens of thousands of Jews throughout history, particularly after performances of passion plays (upon which this movie is modeled).
How much Jewish blood do you guys want? How many of us have to die before you think it is OK for us to say we've had enough?

Luke, please read my letter to the Washington Post. It addresses some of the idiocy you spout off about

Mr. Cohen,
This is written in response to your article:

First of all, let me tell you that I am not a Christian. I am a pornographer, actually. I photograph naked college aged girls for several different adult websites. I really can't stand to set foot in a church, nor can I stand most of the people that attend most churches.
But I WAS raised in church for most of my childhood. I was forced to attend each Sunday, memorize Bible verses, and witness hypocrisy (maybe that explains my profession - I've become relatively well known in the adult world - just do a google search for "Donovan Phillips" and you'll see what I mean).
Your article about the "Passion of the Christ" did anger me, however. Pure ignorance always angers me. Most of the time I am angered by the ignorance of Christians toward the beliefs of those who do not accept the teachings of the Bible. In my opinion, most of them don't realize that "Christian" is supposed to signify someone who is "Christ Like". Christ spent his time with prostitutes, thieves and other "undesireable" people simply because he wanted them to see that he loved them no matter what "sins" they'd committed.
Your ignorance annoyed me just as much as the ignorance of the aforementioned "Christians". You are supposed to be a journalist. An educated man. A fair man. Your article showed no evidence of any of those characteristics. If you had done just a small amount of research you'd known that Mel Gibson's mission was to reproduce the story of Christ's last 14 hours as accurately as he could. His movie makes the assumption that the Bible is true and accurate. He is not basing the story on "Mel Gibson's personal opinions". If the film is "anti-semetic" (it's not), then it is the BIBLE that is anti-semetic (funny thing: the Bible was written by Jews). If the film is "indescribably and inexcusably gory", then it's the BIBLE that is "indescribably and inexcusably gory". Mel Gibson told the story exactly as the Bible portrayed it. If I were to tell the horrible truth of the cruelties of the Holocaust, would that make me anti-German? No. It would make me an accurate historian. THAT is exactly what Mel Gibson accomplished: the most accurate portrayal (to date) of the events claimed in the Bible.
Please, Mr. Cohen, I implore you to practice responsible journalism in the future. You completely missed the boat in this instance.
Sincerely,
Donovan Phillips
