I'm curious. How many millions of Jews do Christians (or the children of Christians such as Nazis) have to murder before Jews are allowed to publicly express concerns about a movie that revives the old charge of deicide -- that Jews killed god. This charge has been responsible for the Christian murder of tens of thousands of Jews throughout history, particularly after performances of passion plays (upon which this movie is modeled).
How much Jewish blood do you guys want? How many of us have to die before you think it is OK for us to say we've had enough?

In order for the Jews to be guilty of deicide they would have first had to acknowledge that Jesus was in fact the son of God. While it is true that more people have been killed in the name of Christianity than any other cause since man has walked the earth, I don't think that anyone is going to harbour any anti-semetic feelings that didn't have them already. There was, very clearly, several opportunties for the Jesus to escape his fate but he took none, which is one of the fundamental themes in Christianity in that Jesus volutnarily went to his crucifixtion by way of his refusal to deny God and man his responsibility of assuming the sins of all men through his suffering.
I personally think the members of the Jewish community who have spoken out against the movie-
A- Don't speak for all Jews and those of Jewish heritage.
B- Are just looking for some reason to cry fouls the same as many whiny, minority special interest groups do at one time or another.
Not that it matters but I am an atheist of Jewish heritage so I have no special interest in defending either the Christian or Jewish communities.
