I think it's not a question of a lower price, but of guarantess. $50 is not a bad price, never mind the cheap asses, but if you don't guarantee listings or traffic, then anything over 0 is expensive. You'd think in some kind of system like someone else posted above, maybe guarantee an X amount of hits per day or month, but if you want to compete with Easypic or Madthumbs, you'll need something more defined than "pay me 50 bucks and maybe you'll get traffic". A real estimate by position would be handy too, if your top placement gets 8-10k a day, there's no way your bottom listings gets more than 1-2k, and therefore the price is unfair for the one listed at bottom.
