Americans have always lived in affluence on the backs of the oppressed. The only difference is now the oppressed are in factories thousands of miles away.
The Gap pays someone 2 dollars a day to make 40 T-shirts and then sells them to you for 20 bucks a piece. Then they pay you 100 dollars a day to keep you happy while they chop down all the red woods in California.
