Something to *really* think about each and every time a commercial plane flies overhead... those guys are being forced to fly 80-100 hrs per week. Like that idea? The unions are trying to get that down to a reasonable amount of time in the air.
Everytime they call me to DC for training I wonder how many hours of sleep the guy steering up front has... Bad Union for wanting to know the pilot is properly rested isn't it? And we fly in to one of if not THE worst airport to get into or out of. Ever want to see the Washington Monument close? Fly into that central DC airport. Can't think for sure but I believe it's National. You know the one the FAA wanted to close after that plane couldn't clear the bridge? And our mighty all knowing legislators nixxed that idea cuz they didn't want to spend an extra 20 mins to get to Reagan when they leave town...
