The movie talk is because the creators are planning to end the series after next season, one of the things people keep throwing around is "maybe you could continue it as a movie"
Personally I'd rather have a series than a movie any day. I mean it's not like they need the freedom from censorship - HBO has alot looser restrictions than the MPAA.
