Acacia desperately needed another press release because their stock price is going nowhere. The Acacia pumpers have been promising $10 a share for months, if not years.

Wait until the financials are released, Playboy (like Hustler) probably pays them next to nothing, but Acacia gets to use the brand name.

This seems to have been the strategy from the start. Try to get money from the little guys while giving it away to the big guys so they can keep the press releases coming and keep the stock price from tanking.

You can make a graph showing the Acacia stock price and the bullshit press releases. None of it has to do with income or the validity of the patent, it's all to do with how they manipulate gullible stock buyers.

I also would not be surprised to see Acacia send out another round of notices to small webmasters using the Playboy logo to try to convince people to settle, like they did with Hustler.

If it turns out that the Playboy deal really is as ridiculous as some have suggested it is, it proves that Acacia's plan is to fight the little guys, but settle with sweetheart deals for the big guys. What does that tell you about how strong Acacia really thinks their patent is if they aren't willing to fight big companies?
