A satisfied and successful customer can stay with a hosting company for years, and if he has a lot of traffic, i.e. high charges for bandwidth, etc, you can imagine it may be worth paying that amount, anyway it looks insane for me as well, but since I'm not in the hosting biz, it may be normal after all.
