I just found my old scrapbook and there was another way of blindlinking explained.. So now I want to know if anyone here uses that, and would the tgps which allow mouseovers allow this (also useful for CJ sites I suppose)...
Here it goes: instead of: <a href="http://www.sponsor.com?id=yourcode">,
you can put <a href="http://blablabla:
[email protected]?id=yourcode">,
and it will still take you to the same url (if the site/directory you/re linking is not password protected). Now, since you can put ANYTHING (including A LOT of empty spaces (just hold the spacebar for a few moments)), between http:// and @, we should be able to do this:
<a href="http://www.disquiseurl.com -SPACES GO HERE- :
[email protected]?id=yourcode>.
The goal is to make the real url part, which comes after @ - invisible to the surfer on his status line (it gets simply pushed out by those spaces).
I made a simple test page, and it works with IE 5.5... Netscape 6.0 crashed my windows (buggy installation), so I didn't test it that way..
Please tell me what you think...Oh, and if I just discovered "hot water"

, please don't laugh..
