You misunderstood Syn... they are cabling the whole length of the median... the emergency crossover lanes will be left open but there will be miles of the median that need cabled off. There has been 3 (that come to mind without thinking hard) times in the last 2 yrs where cars have gone across the median and headon into the oncoming traffic. One just the other day.
Too many deaths... but back in the late 60's early 70's that was the common method of building freeways. Wide open grass. They're doing 315 up on the North side too. You'll see how crazy those fools from the NORTHWEST part of town act when they get behind the wheel... coffee in one hand and their cell in the other, add 80mph and stir.
If you wanted to live with the rich folks, ignore gleem. The really rich people live East of Gahanna or up around New Albany now. lol Dublin, Worthington and Powell are full of pain in the tail aging yuppies that THINK they have alot of money when it all translates to lots of credit. rotfl
I think the 40+ yrs I have lived in and around Columbus gives me some leeway to say I know the area. ;-) Add in my old man and we're well over 80 yrs combined knowledge. lol
Be careful if you head due west into the country from Hilliard... the roads do some mighty strange things out there. :D All angled and its easy to get twisted around.
What part of town are you going to be working in?
