I refuse to deal with PayPal any more. I had a perfectly legitimate company processing transactions with them as an option, as I hate to only offer my customers credit card transactions. When the heavy investment of initial traffic proved successful, PayPal flagged my account as "suspicious" and never did provide any reason as to why. They held over $8,000 for more than 10 months, and then their "processing and investigation fees" left me with little more than half of the original amount.

I am not the only one who has been fucked by PayPal. Check out www.paypalsucks.com and make sure you cover your ass if you want to deal with them.

Ironically, if you appear to be a big enough company with enough contacts and clout to make a potential difference, they seem to be pretty reasonable to deal with. I have dealt with them on several occassions with respect to larger clients that I do administrative work for, and they have been pretty good.

Crazy, but such is life. If they think they can fuck you, they just might.

It's up to you, but I say beware. And it's probably not a bad idea to empty that account as soon and as often as possible.

Jere.
