If it gets that bad where you're email is full of huge file attatchments, then use the
POP3 Scanmail to check your email
before you download any of it. The program will let you delete the emails you check off, and then you can use your normal email program to download the rest.
I'd probably grab one email from each person so I could send a reply to the people sending it... but I can imagine [the frustration with] a few [people who] will be thinking "yeah right" or as Jer said, "but my virus scanner says I don't have it".
The fix from Norton wouldn't hurt a system that didn't have it. Maybe I'd start telling them to download and use that file to detect it.

Of course, if they're that dense, they're probably opening all the attatchments to give their advice anyhow

- so it'd only be a temporary fix.
